has expanded well beyond just rotation management. As EMS grew,
our customers came to us and ask ROI Solutions to assist them.
Some of these features include automatically importing student
information from the Registrar and adding evaluation forms for
academic courses.
Out
of System Rotation Maintenance
This function allows students to arrange their own rotations.
Students can contact preceptors on their own to establish
a rotation. Once the student enters the information about
the rotation, the education coordinator can work the rotation.
Information here includes the dates of the rotation, student
address during the rotation, details of the site and any
paperwork required for the rotation.

Online
Messaging
There are many times when you need to get
a message out to all the students at once. In most cases
there is no easy way to do this. Online messaging give
you this capability. Messages are displayed when a user
logs in via the internet. There are two controls available
when setting up a message. You can select the begin and
end dates for the message and which type of affiliates
will see the message.

Activity
Logging
This is the most used function within EMS. Each student
performs many tasks during a rotation. These tasks must
be recorded to evaluate the rotation. EMS has customizable
list of activities from which to choose. You can search
the list by a key word or phrase or simply enter the activity
number when known. Once the activities are logged, reports
can be created to determine the usefulness of the rotation. |
Research
Sites/Preceptors
Students need to know something about a site/preceptor
before selecting it for a rotation. EMS provides a process
to search by name, specialty, city or state. Information
about a site includes address, doctors at a site and comments
entered by the system administrator. Students can greatly
reduce the amount of time it takes to select their rotations
by spending a little bit of time researching the sites. |
